For siding, roofing, window, door and solar contractors in DC, Maryland and Virginia
Mail every homeowner a picture of their own house, with your work on it.
We pick the right homes in your ZIP codes, make a before-and-after of each one in your colors, print it with your branding and a QR code tied to that address, and mail it. You see which houses scan.
From $650 a month for 250 homes. Printing and postage included. Monthly, cancel anytime.
The card is the pitch.
Every card shows that homeowner's own house. On one side, a real photo of it today. On the other, the same house with the siding, roof or windows you'd install, in your colors.
People sort mail over the trash can. A generic flyer goes in. A picture of their own house, upgraded, gets looked at.

You set up once. We do the rest.
You
- Paste your website. Your logo, colors, phone and reviews come in, and you can edit all of it.
- Pick your ZIP codes and the services you want shown.
- Call the homes that scan.
We
- Pick the homes and find a photo of each one
- Make a before-and-after of every house
- Check every card twice: an automated review, then a person approves it
- Print, mail and track every scan
- Do it again next month, automatically, if you want
Not every door. The right ones.
Most contractor mail goes to every house on a carrier route, so most of it reaches people who aren't going to renovate. SideByHome picks homes one by one. It starts from real listing and sales data for your ZIP codes, checks each address against owner records, and ranks owner-occupied homes by how long the owner has lived there and how old the house is. Long-time owners of older houses are the ones who re-side, re-roof and replace windows.
We keep
- Owner-occupied single-family homes and townhouses
- Older houses, 15 years and up
- Long-time owners first
We drop
- Renters, LLC- and investor-owned homes
- Anything for sale or under contract
- Houses too new to need work
- Foreclosure, pre-foreclosure, auction, bank-owned, tax-delinquent or vacant
- Anyone who asked not to be mailed, and anyone you mailed recently
Each house we pick for you is held for 30 days, so two SideByHome contractors in the same ZIP never mail the same home in the same month.
| Every Door Direct Mail | SideByHome | |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets it | Every address on the route | Owner-occupied homes picked one by one |
| What's on it | The same flyer for everyone | Their own house, before and after your work |
| Addressed to | "Postal Customer" | The homeowner, at their address |
| Checked before print | No | Automated review against the real house, then a person approves |
| Who responded | No way to tell | A QR per address: which houses scanned, and when |
| Design | You make it | Built from your website: logo, colors, phone, reviews |
Every card has its own QR code.
Each code belongs to one address, so you see exactly which houses scanned and when, including repeat scans. The scan takes them to the page you choose, like your quote form.
That turns a mailing into a short, warm list: people who are already picturing the job.
Every month, without wearing anyone out.
People rarely need a roof the day the first card arrives. So each month's mailing balances reaching new homes with showing up again for the best ones:
- About 70% of cards go to homes you've never mailed, best-ranked first, so over time your whole service area hears from you.
- About 30% are repeat cards for homes mailed at least two months earlier. Homes that scanned come first.
- No house gets more than three cards from you, and never sooner than two months after the last one.
New accounts start with all new homes; repeats phase in as your mailing history builds.
Before-and-after mail gets answered.

Pricing
One monthly price covers everything: picking the homes, the before-and-after of each one, printing, postage, mailing and scan tracking.
Need more in a month? Add 100 homes for $120. Monthly billing; if you cancel, mailing stops at the end of the month you've paid for.
Questions
Is the "after" a real photo?
No. It's an AI preview of a possible new look, made from a real photo of that house. The "today" side is the real photo. The card says it's a preview, and every one is checked against the real house and approved by a person before it prints.
Where do the house photos come from?
From real-estate listing photos of each home. We pick the best front photo; if a house has no usable photo, it's skipped and another home takes its place.
What does the homeowner see when they scan?
The page you choose: your quote form, your website or your Facebook page. The scan is logged against that address, and you get an email when a mailing gets its first scan, plus a weekly summary.
Can another contractor mail the same houses?
Not at the same time. Once a home is picked for your mailing, no other SideByHome contractor can mail it for 30 days. ZIP codes aren't exclusive; another contractor in your ZIP gets different homes.
How much work is it for me?
Setup takes a few minutes: paste your website, check your brand details, pick your ZIP codes and services. After that, you follow up with the homes that scan. Everything else is handled for you.
